If you have a prayer need, we have several ways you can let us know. Or, if you want to serve through prayer we have many opportunities:
Stephen Ministry – Eagle UMC has a Stephen Ministry program to provide those with ongoing needs (grief, divorce, end of life care, etc.) with a specially trained Stephen Minister for confidential, individual care.
Sunday Morning Worship – As you enter worship, pick up a prayer request slip from the table in the foyer. Fill it out and hand to Pastor John and he will lift up your prayer in worship, bring it to the prayer group that meets on Tuesday mornings, or contact you. Please note how we can pray for you on the note.
Praying Hands – Members of our new prayer ministry, “Praying Hands” are available to pray for you or with you following each Sunday worship service. If you have a joy, concern, celebration, or any other request, please look for these individuals near the front corners of the sanctuary. Prayers you share with a member of Praying Hands are completely confidential.
Prayer Team – Every Tuesday morning our prayer team meets to pray over the concerns expressed on Sunday, and other needs we are aware of. If you would like this team to pray for you, please contact the church office with your prayer request. You may contact the church office by phone: 939-0108 or by email.
Prayer Chain – Our church maintains a prayer chain for urgent prayer needs. If you have concern, please contact the church office to activate our prayer chain. If you would like to be a member of our prayer chain, please let us know!
Private Prayer Needs – If you have a prayer concern you would like to express in private, please call the church office to speak to Pastor John, or another member of our staff you are comfortable with. We would be glad to pray for you and with you through whatever difficulties or joys you may be experiencing.
Prayer for Our Church – This prayer group meets for ½ hour each week on Wednesdays at 1pm and the intent is to intercede for the leadership of our church body limiting our prayers for this purpose. Come and be encouraged by the scripture found in Matthew 18:19, “Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven and blessed as we partner in prayer.” The group meets in the Conference Room.
