SUMMARY:Operation Christmas Child Packing Party
DESCRIPTION:Operation Christmas child will be hosting an event called “Assemble the Shoeboxes” on Saturday\, Nov 5 from 2-5PM. By sending boxes\, we are part of proclaiming the Gospel as a demonstration of God’s love in a tangible way to children. Individuals\, families\, or groups may fill boxes. Packing 1 shoebox generally takes 15-30 minutes. You are invited to stay longer. \nOur congregation has done a wonderful job donating items. We are still in need of 33 pencil pouches with closures\, 8 big bars of soap\, 65 wash clothes\, 20 toothbrushes\, 20 toothbrush holders\, all size socks\, and 70 flip-flops. There is a donation barrel around the corner from the Food Pantry box. Thank you for your participation in this congregational event. \nShoebox Shipping Costs\nEach box costs $10 to ship.  Our target for boxes is 200 which will require $2\,000 for mailing.  If you would like to donate for the shipping\, please mark “OCC Shipping” on your check memo line.

DESCRIPTION:OVER 1\,500 PRAYER SHAWLS GIVEN OUT — PRAISE GOD!!! \nHand make items from yarn to bring comfort to those who are hurting and remind them of God’s grace and love. Knit and crochet shawls\, lap robes\, scarves\, and small pocket prayers that are available for the congregation to give away. We also makes hats\, booties and tiny blankets for premature babies at the local hospitals. \nThe group meets every Wednesday in the Narthex (the hallway outside of the sanctuary) from 10-11:30 am. Following the meeting\, some of the group go to Idaho Pizza in Eagle for lunch and a few of the husbands join them. The group has been blessed with donations and bins of yarn and patterns to choose from.

DESCRIPTION:The last week of Lent is commonly referred to as Holy Week.  It is comprised of several days meaningful to Christians. \n\nPalm Sunday – Sunday before Easter\, April 2nd – Regular services will be held\nMaundy Thursday – Thursday before Easter Sunday\, April 6th\nGood Friday – Friday before Easter Sunday\, April 7th\nEaster Egg Hunt – Easter Day\, April 9th\nEaster Sunday – The culmination of Lent is Easter Sunday\, April 9th\n\nSunrise Service – 7:00 am – We will meet just outside the main sanctuary. Part of the service will take place outside and then we will move inside for Holy Communion and a chance for people to remember their baptism.\nEaster Service – 9:30 am and 11:00 am
